Pearl sang and played violin, mandolin & accordion in Nikko Benson's "Start Again" at the Adirondack Theatre Festival

I recently got to join the brilliant Nikko Benson, Roe Hartrampf, Jordon Bolden, and my dear Great Comet friend Cathryn Wake in presenting a concert reading of Nikko’s gorgeous song cycle “Start Again”. I played violin, mandolin and accordion, and sang an epic 8-minute solo called “Closure” that I can’t wait to debut in NYC!

START AGAIN: A Concert Reading

From the creator of Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat comes a moving new story about the love we lose, and the inspiring road back from heartbreak. Necromancers of the Public Domain

On MONDAY, JUNE 17 Pearl premiered a brand-new song at The Tank!

Necromancers of the Public Domain is a group of songwriters and other creators led by the fearless Ayun Halliday. Each month, we pluck a long forgotten volume from the shelves of the New York Society Library to resurrect as a one-night-only NYC variety show.

June’s book is “The Greatest of These”, a memoir by legendary actress Laurette Taylor of her time doing a variety show tour to raise money for the Red Cross. Laurette Taylor is remembered for originating the roles of Peg in Peg O’ My Heart and Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie.

A reading with The Civilians!

On May 23, Pearl joined a reading of Microcosmos, a new musical by Rebecca Hart & David Kornfeld.

A lyrical rock odyssey into the workings of the human brain by composer David Kornfeld and lyricist / bookwriter Rebecca Hart. Based partly on our own neuro-atypical lives (epilepsy and Tourette's), we will be asking questions about creativity, sanity, and what we consider "normal."
